What is the Hund Universal Leash System?

It's one leash system that changes with your walk. It comes in three pieces that clip together however you need them:

  • Wearable body – adjusts from 40" to 76", worn crossbody or around your waist

  • Leash extension – a 6-foot lead

  • Traffic handle – a 12" handle that clips anywhere along the leash for close control

Wear it hands-free for a jog, switch to a classic 6-foot leash for a coffee run, or stretch it into a long line at the park. It's all the same leash, so there's no drawer full of single-use leads.

Every piece is made from waterproof BioThane with rust-resistant metal hardware. It shrugs off rain, slush and the occasional puddle dive, and it wipes clean in seconds.

Why we made it

We're two dog mums in Ottawa who were tired of juggling a leash, a coffee, a poop bag, and of owning five leashes for five kinds of walks. So we designed one that does it all.

Meet the Hund Universal Hands-Free Leash System - the most versatile multi-dog leash you'll ever need. Our modular leash system combines the adaptability of your most common leash needs into one system that let’s you build the perfect setup for any walk, any dog, any situation.

Unlike traditional dog leashes that lock you into one configuration, this customizable leash system includes three essential pieces that work together in 10+ different ways:

  • a wearable adjustable body portion (extends from 40” to 76” in length”)

  • a leash extension (6-foot length)

  • a detachable traffic handle (12” length)

Clip them together to create a standard 6-foot leash, attach the leash extension to the wearable portion for hands-free walking, or reconfigure on the fly when you need traffic control or want to walk multiple dogs.

  • Hands-Free Waist Walk - clip to your waist for jogging, hiking, or managing coffee and poop bags.

  • Hands-Free Shoulder Style - wear across your shoulder for comfortable hands-free walking.

How to use our hands-free Hund Leash System

  • Hands-free dog leash customizable

    Hands-free around the waist

    Adjust the body body portion around your waist and size for comfort. Clip the leash extension into the O-ring and get going!

  • Hands-free dog leash waterproof

    Traditional Leash Style w/Traffic Handle

    Clip the traffic handle into one of the ends of the leash (clip). Then, clip the other end to your dogs collar. Now you have a full handle, and traditional leash style.

  • Hands-free dog leash durable and customizable

    Attach traffic handle

    If you need a little more control, adjust the slider of the leash extension to a comfortable position and clip the traffic leash in to the d-ring.

  • Handle conversion of leash extension

    Convert your leash extension into a standard leash. Create the handle by looping one end of your leash to clip into the d-ring, and size for comfort.

  • Hands-free long line dog leash

    Long line conversion

    Extend the wearable portion to its full length, and clip the extension into one end of the wearable piece. Attach the traffic handle to the opposite end.

  • Hands-free dog leash around the waist

    Hands-free across the shoulder

    Adjust the wearable portion across your shoulder and size accordingly. Attach your extension to the O-ring. Classic hands-free!

    Tie Out

    Need to run in and grab a coffee? Find a tree, a post, or any safe stationary item and wrap one end of the leash extension around, adjust the d-ring to size, and clip in.

  • Leash extension for 2 dogs

    Double dog walker

    Move the d-ring of your leash extension to the middle of the leash. Clip in your traffic handle. Clip in your pups!
